Good to be home now though.

LXLetticehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06251998081386015052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5633852516929929500.post-53938238063888608892018-07-07T20:23:58.517+01:002018-07-07T20:23:58.517+01:00It went very well although HOT! We had some French children stay for a school exchange trip years ago and we took them 10 pin bowling. Unfortunately it did not occur to us that they would be used to Boules and we nearly got thrown out as they kept slinging the bowling ball down onto the nice wooden floor!! Not to mention our French wasn't competent enough to tell them what they were doing wrong and why. Charades was the way forward but they never did get the hang of it. Fun times. xMarksgranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02870471905590321642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5633852516929929500.post-82877227166065933962018-07-07T09:14:03.262+01:002018-07-07T09:14:03.262+01:00Hope it goes well for you. It has taken me all this time to find a sport that I enjoy and more importantly can play without making more of a fool of myself than I always seem to do! The playing area is called a piste and if you play a game and don’t get any points against your opponent that is called a fanny!?! I have only been fannied a couple of times... as it were?

My knitting needles are clacking as we speak, I do wear a jaunty scarf on occasions and you reckon that’s all it takes? I’m there Frances, I’m there!

LXLetticehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06251998081386015052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5633852516929929500.post-4245749521162293182018-07-07T08:46:11.242+01:002018-07-07T08:46:11.242+01:00I had to check exactly what Petanque is......as I ...I had to check exactly what Petanque is......as I thought...I know it as boules ! We have a set of metal ones somewhere. Not played it for years. There is a boules playing area ( I expect there is a special name for it ) in our local pub garden. If you knitted yourself a " trouser suit" and wore a scarf on your bonce, I am sure you could look like her !!Franceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02576715462615744934noreply@blogger.com
