I recline that’s...

what I do.  My mother had good legs untrammelled by the ravages of the snaking vein of varicose.  Asking her the reason, she would always reply that at every turn putting your feet up was the only way.  Being of a slothful persuasion I have very much taken that onboard, even as I tap this out on my flat thing my legs are elevated.  In fact I modestly admit for a stout lass my legs are one of my better features, a grand piano would be proud.

A soupçon just to let you know I’m still here...

    1. Thank you gz, I suddenly thought it has been a while since I last blogged. All good wishes to you and your disreputable shiver me timbers feller. A camp pirate clad in of all things ... blooming Lycra... takes all sorts I suppose, good for you lad, I say!

    1. Very, it’s a long time ago since we last were together, 1971, she died very young. I still think of her every day.

      Merry Christmas to you Debbie.

  3. Funnily enough I'm sitting with my legs elevated because I've developed a pain behind my right knee. It's not sore if I sit but is sore to walk, so I'm sitting! Your mum knew what she was talking about! x

  4. I'm so glad to hear that you are doing fine. I was starting to get concerned. And I agree, your mother was a very wise woman. I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. I know the current challenges of the day aren't very merry, but I hope they feel merry in your heart. Ranee (MN) USA

    1. Yes, I’m fine thank you although being sensible is a strain I must confess. Always merry in my heart. Have a lovely Christmas and most of all be safe.

  5. Yes, and so glad you are here.
I'm a skinny rat, but get one leg enlarged from lazy lymph nodes, so it's that leg up for me.

    1. Yes, I am still here. Look after your lazy lymph nodes I say. A little light reclining is so empowering, what!

  6. Pleased that you are still there..legs an' all!!
I always have my legs " up" when watching TV etc. Our chairs have built in foot rests that rise up when you pull a lever. Though the lever on mine is broken so it just goes up when I sit down! Hope that your Xmas is as good as can be. I was very upset to be put in Tier 4 on Saturday as it means our lovely little family get together can no longer happen. Also means that I shall have to cook for myself and husband. (Daughter-in-law was going to be doing it all)It was lucky that my natural reluctance to doing any housework had prevented me from getting the room ready for my youngest son to sleep in, so I didn't waste that energy! ( I would rather I could see him though)

    1. I do a long reply and then the flat thing goes Oops! After I’ve retrieved it from the Wrenery in a fit of pique it then decides to play ball. I bet it happens this time, so if I haven’t replied sensibly then that is the reason why...testing, testing, testing....
