Like a big...

kid,  I was up at sparrow fart to take my new scooter for a spin along the prom.  Before the world woke up... to witness the vision of a daft old tart who should know better?  The tiler’s advice of one leg one way, one the other was a good idea except my legs had other ideas.  One is so much stronger than the other.  Add the wind factor into the equation and it’s quite a puff!  I got as far as the Imperial Hotel where if I had thought to pop my purse down my left knicker leg, I could have had a leisurely breakfast before returning home and pretending I had got as far as Folkestone!

This isn’t me... as if I would consider motorised, I ask you?

    3. I wondered how, in the days of bellows cameras, with hoods and flash pans, how they caught her exactly at a beautifully focused standstill against an out of focus background. Old SLR cameras here!

  2. What did I say about tempting fate? Re big spiders! Husband just caught one on the floor just under this computer...luckily I was on the other side of the room at the time., though had been eating at the table 15 mins before...........ugh ! It is now at the bottom of the garden.
Good luck with the scooter. I did think that you would only be comfortable scooting doing it with a particular leg. I am right handed and would naturally put my right leg on the scooter...can't imagine doing it any other way. My granddaughter is left handed and she scoots "left handed" too!

    1. It was difficult to be ambilegous (new word?) Trouble is coming back from the shops this morning towing the trolley, not with scooter, mind! That must surely be the advanced course!?! My right knee was a tad sore!

  4. I think I would pay good money to see you scooting at the squeak of dawn lol. You'll need to watch you don't end up with one really toned leg and one wobbly one though lol. I envy your courage though. Have fun. x

  5. You could, surely, have it motorised … people have motorised bicycles, don't they? To help them up hill. You would have wonderful fun whizzing along on a motorised scooter!

    1. Yes, I did spy a chap on one the other day... what a wuss! Now if you could get one that stores energy like a hamster might generate trundling along on a wheel, that might be worth considering? You forget I’m trying to become toned!?!
