Love in a hot climate...

is cuddling up with mum, on her chair, no worries that it really is too hot to snuggle!

This morning they got up early-ish and took me to the forest, which was a definite first.  I did enjoy it.  Not many dogs had been there before me so my calling card was the first.  Far better than trogging around town with all the visitors not giving a stuff about social distancing.  I really have no idea why they insist on doing it as they know I hate it so much!
These human parents are a strange breed? At least in the forest the squirrels are red hot on keeping their distance and damned hard to catch, as they will insist on cheating by shooting up trees.
Toodle pip for now.
Love Ellie XxX

  1. You both look very comfy!
A visit to the forest is very calming, you may even forget about those idiots in town. We have some here as well, but not like in the U.S, the whole County is going to hell over there. I hope Trudeau is keeping the border closed, we sure don't need those nut cases in our country! The more I see what some people are like the more I want to be alone!

    1. Me too Moni! The trouble is the feeling of wanting to escape is growing! I suppose lots of folk feel the same in these strange times. Nothing prepared us for this!

  2. So pleased you finally made it to the forest, Ellie. Play it right and you could own it.

  3. We don't have any forest near us, you are very lucky Ellie. Our nearest thing is the woods at the end of our road which I love going to but I still don't get off my lead there, it's too near the main road apparently! We do sometimes go up to the big country park and I love it there as I get off my lead and there are loads of delicious smells, not to mention other dogs to say hello to but them indoors are worried it might be a bit busy at the moment! Lots of people go there in summer and although its not busy busy like those beaches on the telly, we're staying more local just now, just in case. I'm not sure what we're just in case worried about but its got them indoors hanging around much more than they used to so its all good! Happy squirrel chasing! Personally, I like a pigeon to chase. 4. A cool forest walk , a good idea. We made the mistake of thinking that a ride from Balmaha would be a good idea yesterday..we lasted five minutes and left

    1. Crumbs, I wouldn’t have lasted five seconds bike riding in yesterday’s heat at 5 a.m. Mad dogs and Englishmen and all that!
