I feel a tad peculiar...

This morning I woke up with a headache, all day it has been there accompanying me on my pottering and pootling. One reluctantly taken tablet later, still it persists.

Surely it can’t be, can it?

My limbs are starting to ache, my face feels flushed, my shoulders and back are sore.

Surely it can’t be can it?

My usual MO is to work through these minor aches and pains, today has been no different.  I have enjoyed rearranging the greenhouse, sowing seeds, planting herbs and pottering, like you do?  I have printed on fabric my message for Hope’s birthday card.  A productive day all round.  The only thing I haven’t done is to address my people and tell them there is nothing to be afraid of... now where did I put my Elnett hairspray?

  1. Loss of taste or smell ( not just from a blocked nose) ?
    If so, get checked😕
Hope you are not getting dehydrated...that could be the reason..

  2. Have you had your flu jab yet? I had mine last week and had those same symptoms for a few days afterwards, though nothing came of it, so I hope you feel better 'toot sweet'!I met up with family this afternoon and we walked more than I've walked since lockdown began in March; tonight my face is glowing but everything hurts - but boy do I feel so much better than I did. I promised myself I would walk every day, gradually increasing the step count (but maybe not tomorrow!)

    1. No I am booked for the week after next. We walk at least an hour every day with Ellie, although for the last couple of days I have stayed at home. I plan to get back to it today.

  3. I'm not worried about you, yet. After all, my leader waited several days. Sad, he still looks green.

    1. No need for worry. I have woken up okay-ish this morning. We don’t go anywhere much, so unless it has flown in the window and bitten me on the bum I don’t think it could be the virus of leaders, just some odd happening of an extraterrestrial kind?

  5. Take vitamin D and drink lots! My hubby does a brilliant head massage that sees off most headaches! Unfortunately we can't travel that far just now so I can't help!
It might be rat stress! I'm sure that's a thing!
    Take care my friend. xx

    1. What of bubbles? Talking of drinking, I have wondered whether my nightly aperitif of choice... a wicked cocktail of Big Tom spicy tomato juice in equal, proportion to ‘Beet It’ a beetroot juice. I absolutely love it, is it doing me harm I wonder? Will I turn beet red as it slowly poisons my system? Maybe cut it out for a few days to see.

Should I google ‘Have Hands Will Travel’. That might find t’old codger?

A year has gone by...

and the sourdough saga continues, nothing much changes, apart maybe my level of frustration at my tarnished bread making skills of a ferment...
