We slithered down...

a very steep slope wishing we had packed our crampons.  The puff was so worth it into this secret valley.
The walk was magical along the gently meandering stream.  Wild garlic clothed the bank like snow on the collar of a coat.
I had taken my iPad as Audrey being house bound loves to accompany us on our walks.

This beautiful pond was a complete surprise, especially seeing Ellie walk across the bridge in the middle of the picture.  Unfortunately being a ham photographer I didn’t capture it, too blooming slow!

This is Clee Hill our favourite walk.  We scramble to the trig point to get a wonderful vista laid out before us.  Seeing this peeping through the tress at the end of our walk, our tired legs could hardly imagine us there only the other day.

This dog is doing our old bod’s the power of good.  We most definitely wouldn’t be doing this level of walking without her!

    1. Yup, that is a part of the forest where I first let her off, so a special place for her. At the time she couldn’t believe it, turned to look and then rushed off, rushing back every few seconds to be sure we were still there. As the vet said she would be more worried about losing us than us worrying about her running away. She is still the same, no matter how far off in the distance we see her she comes back all the time to check it is actually us. She really is a joy.

  2. You live in a lovely area. What a lovely place to walk. I pound the streets here every evening with Sonny. We're not allowed to go to the nice hillside walk we sometimes go to, too many dog walkers use it, although not usually when we're there. x

    1. We sure do MG. Pounding the pavements is far from ideal. The restrictions have been lifted so I would check. I think the thing is if you only drive a short distance and walk far more than the time taken to drive, you will be okay.

  3. Love the last photo....the dark tree trunks and the new pale green leaf growth. Very similar to " my" bluebell woods, except that the trees in mine have been coppiced in parts of it many years ago, so have multiple trunks!
