I’m on the cusp...

of becoming a recluse.
Every morning the newspaper is beamed into my ipad. I idly flick through and can hardly bear to read one word of what is happening in the world.  I am sure I am not alone in feeling this way?  What happened to core values, truthfulness, being accountable?
The me, me, me society we live in frankly makes me heart sick.

  1. I've given up reading most of the 'news'. It's just too depressing.

  2. I think as we grow old we just become too cynical ;) The 'me me' culture just flattens me in disbelief, tv is the worst culprit.

    1. I resent having to feel cynical and not my usual cheery self.

  3. These days I tend to skip through most of the newspaper until I get to the middle and the " puzzles". If it wasn't for the fact I enjoy them so much I wouldn't bother buying the paper at all!

    1. Puzzles... hmm... not sure? Certainly a she-load better than the world news!

  5. I do not read, nor listen to, "The News." It is all done, from one point of view. No balance any more.

I have one source, which I/we use, for the news, which we pay attention to.

We feel, that there is so much "blather" out there... Trying to pass as "News,"... That listening to it all, is very counter productive to our health.

    End of story.

    :-))))

A year has gone by...

and the sourdough saga continues, nothing much changes, apart maybe my level of frustration at my tarnished bread making skills of a ferment...
