Hacked off from...

Hythe calling.
I am falling out of love with blogging.
Why?
Because I now can’t answer the folk who take time out to comment. I wrote a lengthy comment to Going Gently John and zilch happened.
Why google have taken against me, I really have no idea?
Then I wonder if it is wise putting the minutiae of my boring life out for the world to see?
When all said and done as I sit doing this, life is passing me by.
I must be mad... what do you think?

  2. I love that sign about recipes, that sounds like me too. I agree with what you wrote in your "about me" section, life is too short to worry about followers, comments and the like.

    1. I know I said it... but I do like an odd comment, so you could call me a fibber?

  4. As Elaine says “Truly Barking” :))

If you quit blogging how will we find out if you move or stay in your beautifully renovated home in Hythe?

Have to admit that I’m a lurker but I would miss you.

    1. Dear Anonymous, thank you. I will carry on because frankly it is enjoyable, even though I do get grumpy when things don’t go smoothly. Some might say a madam, me, well I couldn’t possibly comment...

  5. Aren't we all a bit mad? I love reading your blog - I rarely comment on any of the bloggers that I follow and I know I am not alone. Don't stop - I love that you are quirky and fun. Different bloggers - different stories to read and you are one of my favorite. Ranee (MN) USA

  6. I did the same today, wrote a comment which went nowhere, however I realised I'd included a link to a website and I think that was perhaps a nono, so I tried again without the link and lo and behold it appeared. I too feel time is passing me by as I sit on the computer reading about other peoples lives, however I love reading blogs, its a little peek into the lives of others we are never likely to meet and its like peeping through windows in the evening before people have shut their curtains and wondering what their life is like and what they're doing etc. I've had a lot of inspiration from many of the blogs I read to change things I want to change and to challenge myself to try new things. I used to have my own blog and still do blog but only for me, more in the way of a diary. I prefer to type than to write these days. I hope you don't stop blogging as I love reading your posts but I'll understand when life is going to get very busy for you if you decide to stop, sometimes its one thing too many. x

    1. Couldn’t agree more about imagining how people live their lives. I find it endlessly fascinating. Probably says more about me than anything? Like you I find typing far easier that labouriously writing in long hand, added to which the words seem to flow so much better. Far from grammatically correct... am I bothered not a lot. As long as folk get the gist, that’s the main thing.

If I have no inspiration or time to comment I just leave a pebble in a pool to show I've visited..(0)...and idea I borrowed from Shown at One Word blog.
Keep on blogging and reading xx

  8. I am glad that you have decided to carry on with the blogging.....not often enough I might say !! ( I will let you off for now as you are trying to move house ! ) I love getting to " know" my blog friends and breakfast wouldn't be the same without my daily reads catching up on what has been going on in other people's lives.

A year has gone by...

and the sourdough saga continues, nothing much changes, apart maybe my level of frustration at my tarnished bread making skills of a ferment...
