In my weakened state I...

got to thinking... what is it exactly about loo rolls, bog rolls, toilet rolls, toilet paper call it what you will.

Am I thick?  I just don’t get it!
Hang your head in shame if your cupboards are full to overflowing of things that you know in your heart of hearts that you won’t need in the foreseeable future.
After which those who are fixated with best by dates and sell by dates will chuck it all out when things get better.
The world has gone stark raving mad, when half of the world are starving.
Let’s get real here and consider folk needier than ourselves...

    1. Funny old world we live in, at times like this we all need to look in the mirror and question?

  2. The world has indeed gone mad. I must admit to having two extra packs of toilet rolls which I bought before the 'crisis' hit. I always have a full pantry and I saw all this coming long before the panic began so I stocked up a bit more than usual and then watched in amazement as the shelves emptied! I find myself becoming more imaginative with my meal planning to use all the stuff I've 'hoarded' I've even frozen some milk cubes! Oh and by the way, my daughter told me she was 'sorted' as she managed to get a pack of giant wotsits! Giant wotsits, have you heard of them? Apparently they are a thing. Would you like me to try and source a pack for you?? You could stockpile! I hope you feel better soon. xx

    1. Giant WOTSITS... all will be well in the world. Forget toilet rolls... Giant canapĂ© mountain here we come, won’t even need crampons because if I hit a snag, I’ll just scoff it! Job’s a good’un! Life suddenly isn’t that bad. Just a low-loader full for starters please...

Not only ‘imaginative with meals’, we will all come out of this slimmer as we feed a family of four on one anchovy.

  3. I have my usual pack of 9 rolls, well there are 4 in the circular tower thing, 1 on the holder and 1 still in the pack. I buy packs of 9 because it's often cheaper or they're on special offer. I haven't stock piled them, I'm an optimist and hope that I will be able to get more when these run out. I once read an article about a 'green' family who used terry towelling squares which they washed and re-used!!

    1. My friend has already said the same about cutting up face cloths. And all the disposable nappies going into landfill, which mums are panicking about not being able to get... what about the old fashioned terry towelling nappies? Life I suspect after this will never be quite the same, hopefully for the better.

  4. I just wish people "got it". There is no need to hoard; there will be people willing to deliver whatever is produced until this is long over.

    1. A lot don’t want to ‘get it’ they just want to carry on in their own ‘sweet’ selfish way. I agree, already the signs are there, we have had offers of deliveries from local shops... I wouldn’t mind but anyone would think we are OLD!?!

  5. It is totally ridiculous, rude swearword/sheep, except I hate being rude to sheep.
