My days meld...

I am lost in the embrace of a man.
‘Oh no she’s off again I hear you cry!’

No, not this time George of the Clooney, nor yet...
Pierce of the Brosnan...
but Thomas of the Cromwell.

Days slip by, as my loved up old bod, my overtaxed brain with every one of its 26 neurons strains to experience a little light travel back in time.

Only for a short time you understand and with a return ticket naturally!

I think I’m definitely, unequivocally (like that word)
in love.  If there is one thing that makes me go weak at the knees it’s strong, decisive intelligent men.  Hope the husband doesn’t read this?

This is the reason.

  1. I'm reading that too (and loving it) but can only read it at the table as it is a pretty hefty book.

    1. My usual place to read is in bed, however, me, the husband, Tom ((to his friends) and the huge tome is a step too far! I read mine reclining in my chair. I am loving it and ration myself.

  2. I love when you can get lost in a great book. I've just finished the latest Jenny Colgan book. Its much lighter and fluffier than your tome but its based in an imaginary village in Scotland and oh how I want to live there! I've no love of history, especially really far back, that was well killed off in school! I don't like period dramas or period books. School has such a lot to answer for! x

    1. Looking back I am sorry that I didn’t enjoy my time at school, or use it wisely. My abilities were put into mucking about... I regret that now!

  3. The cactus to the right suggests that there may be some prickly subjects in that book.

    1. As long as it doesn’t lose its head we’ll be okay.

    1. Yup! Hilary I think might be putting a soft focus lens on him. How I would love to check him out, only a fleeting visit, mind!

  5. I attempted to read Wolf Hall a couple of years ago for book club. I didn't get very far with it.....too many men called Thomas for a start.....confusing ! I am trying to wade through " Golden Hill" at the moment, again for book club. It is hard work too. I would really like to find a book to enjoy!

    1. You sound a bit like me Frances... too heavy for light books, too light for heavy books? Is that about the measure of it?

A year has gone by...

and the sourdough saga continues, nothing much changes, apart maybe my level of frustration at my tarnished bread making skills of a ferment...
